"...I have come that they may have life, and have to the full." John 10:10
This may be one of the most challenging Bible verses to understand. Christ has come so people can have life, experience life to its fullest dimensions. I personally struggle with trying to find artistic vision in the routine of days, never mind experiencing life to the fullest. According to this quote, Christ can bring life, a full, vibrant, amazing life to fruition. The question that one must ask is how.
One of the keys to experiencing and enjoying life is to be grateful for the life we have. Christian or not, anybody can appreciate this idea. If we are grateful and thankful for what we have in life, small moments of beauty, kisses from small children, embraces from those we love, our point of view can go from being bitter about things to being blessed.
A gratitude list is an inspired thing to do! Go grab a pen and paper and write down five things that you are grateful for. Did you enjoy the cinnamon sprinkle in your cereal bowl this morning? Write that down. Did you enjoy your husband smiling at you? Write that down too. Did your children take out the water guns outside? Write that down too and go outside! Did you smile at that text from a friend? Write that down also. That's four! Can you do one more?
It brings hope ...
